You want to avoid any products that contain Benzoyl Acid which is very drying (ProActic).

An amazing product that works well and is formulated for sensitive skin that won't dry or irritate you is Clear Advantage by Arbonne. The active ingredient is salicylic acid which is much better ingredient for fighting acne. www.arbonne.com If you need more information please let me know or if you want to know how to order at a discount. The other thing that is fabulous about this line is that it comes with a supplement that combats acne from the inside out!!
Yes. This is the absolute best acne killer for sensitive skin ever! I use it, because just like you I have sensitive skin and acne. It's called ';Clean %26amp; Clear'; it says ';Sesitive Skin'; in green, and it has the words ';Deep Cleaning Astringent'; in white words. It's an easy to use formula. It's liquid that you pour a little bit on a cotton ball, and apply to the surface where it's infected. Then you're done! You do have to wash your face before hand though. It's better than cream could ever be!
You may want to try Proactiv. I did not get acne until later in life and it has worked really well for me and others according to the website. It seems pricey but you do not have to order a lot throughout the year. Here is the link to check out the information. Good Luck.
I suggest seeing a dermatologist first because they can give you prescription stuff. since everyone's skin is different that would be your best bet
As I've learned from experience, no one has the same kind of acne and no one has the same type of skin, so acne solutions definitely vary and it very frustrating going through dozens of products that always fail.

But, I can tell you what worked for me: MURAD! I also found that drinking a lot of water and working out also helped clear my skin. Stress causes my breakouts and since running relaxes me, I think it really helped with the acne. I hope you find your answers.

okay, i have the same problem, and heres what i can tell you

i have used every product on the store counters(neutrogena, noxema, clean and clear, aveeno, etc), and none of them work for me.

i also went to my doctor, and he prescribed this stuff called duac, which you wear on your face every night, and it doesnt work either.

i havent tried proactive, but my friend did, and she said, yeah, it works. and she said this while her face was still as broken out as before she got it, so i really dont know about that.

iver tried every home remedy ever thought of (toothpaste, lemon juice, rubbing alcohol, etc) and they dont work

what does work for me is ocean water. not just regular salt water that you would make at home, but really swimming in the ocean. i guess its because theres more minerals and stuff in the ocean. but i can only do that during the summer...

so really, i dont know what to tell you, but when you find something that works, tell me.
Try a range of products for sensitive skin from QV. Its an Australian company but it has lotions, creams, face and body washes for acne prone skin, oily skin, overly sun-exposed skin and dry skin.
What makes acne worse?

There are a number of things that can make your acne worse. These include the following:

* picking and squeezing the spots may cause further inflammation and scarring1

* stress can make acne worse in some people, although it is not clear why1,5

* in women, outbreaks may be affected by the hormonal changes that occur during the menstrual cycle1,5

* excessive production of male hormones such as testosterone from conditions such as polycystic ovary syndrome may be another cause.5 For more information, please see the separate BUPA factsheet Polycystic ovary syndrome

* some contraceptive pills may make acne worse. This is due to the type of progestogen hormone in some pills whereas some other types of contraceptive pills can improve acne - see Treatments section below. Your GP will advise you which contraceptive pill to take1,5

* some medicines can make acne worse. For example, some medicines taken for epilepsy, and steroid creams and ointments that are used for eczema. Do not stop a prescribed medicine if you suspect it is making your acne worse, but tell your GP. An alternative may be an option1,5

* steroids can cause acne as a side-effect1,5

There are several topical treatments you may be prescribed including those listed below:

* azelaic acid (Skinoren) is an alternative to benzoyl peroxide and may not make your skin as sore as benzoyl peroxide7

* topical retinoids (eg Adapalene) are medicines based on vitamin A, which are rubbed into the skin once or twice a day.7 They work by encouraging the outer layer of skin to flake off

* a topical antibiotic lotion applied to the skin can be used to control the P. acnes bacteria (eg Dalacin T). Treatment needs to continue for at least six months. Preparations that combine an antibiotic with other acne medication are available (eg Benzamycin which combines an antibiotic with benzoyl peroxide)7
Please go see your doctor. Ask them for tetracycline or mindocycline. Those were great products for me.
Be gentle, do no harm. Try a pharmaceutical grade system used by many dermatologists - USANA Sensee. It has helped many sensitive cases. Shop@ web below.
If your acne is extremely bad, ask your doctor about Accutane. It is the closest thing to a cure there is. I have been on it before and it was the only thing that helped me. you will have to be on birth control pills, and have a blood test taken once a month but it's totally worth it!!
Have you tried using Proactiv? It worked for my friend that had really bad acne. I have another friend with sensitive skin and she has lots of luck with Origins products. If you go to an origins store and explain that your skin is really sensitive, they might have trial sized things they can give you (or at least offer you a refund if it doesn't help your skin).

Good luck.

Try seeing a dermintologist. They have medication that can help.
My skin is extra sensitive too, and its also perfect. That's the only thing I take credit for. But if you want to clear your acne, wipe your face with hot water and alcohol. The alcohol takes off most of the dirt.

Another suggestion is toothpaste, and try not to touch your face alot because that causes alot of dirt to build up and create acne.
I know this will sound totally off the wall....but preperation H. It shrinks swelling and closes up large pores. It does not smell bad and it works really well.
