Bad acne on my back how to I get rid of it?

I never used to break outs until recently and it's effecting my back the most... it's super gross is there a cream or something I should try for my back? I work out a lot so it has to be something that will cure it with me sweating a lot.. Bad acne on my back how to I get rid of it?
Well first off, take a shower after working out and sweating, because that is when your pores on your back are getting clogged and ****. I use proactive like the above says, but you can use any Acne wash. They actually make Acne body wash that you can find almost anywhere. Nuetrogena makes a good one. Also pick up a Mesh Lufa to use with the body wash and scrub your back with. I know it seems girly to buy a lufa, but CVS and most convenient stores carry black or blue colored ones to make it less... feminine. It works.Bad acne on my back how to I get rid of it?
I think the best thing you can do is consult a dermatologist, and never ever try any kind of cream without a consultation.

I live in Jordan (Middle East) and most skin problems here can be cured at the Dead Sea (very salty) either by mud wraps or by just laying back and relaxing while floating in the salty sea, it stings at first but it does wonders for the skin.

Ask around, as i know that you can find Dead Sea salt and mud in the states, if you don't then tell me i will ask around here and get you contact information.

Hope you feel better.
if your a guy and using steroids theres nothin u can do, i mean u can wachurself as much as u can it may help but .... its a hormone thing and it wont help

if thats not the case then somethin i used to use and it worked really well was...........

a salt scrub

take table salt mix it with a little bit of liqud soap any kind.... ( something mild but cleansing my fave is nutregina face soap, its pure glicerin so it gets u ';squeekie';clean

anyway mix it enough so that its thick andu can still feel the ganuals

if u cant do it urself get someoneto help u so that it can be done really well,... and wash ur back in the shower or whatever

the soap cleans as the salt scatches the serface to get rid of dead skin that could be blockinga nd infecting ur skin on ur back. the slat also soaks in and kills all the bactiea in the poors

thsi also works on ur ace but u have to be careful cuz ur face skin is more delicate then ur back

shower after u work out, and try and get some sun. even if its in ur back yard alone for 20 min. it really helps,....

if u sont want to use the salt thing

try taking a q-tip and soaking it in rubbing alc

dab each pimple on ur back with the alc,.... it kills the germs

if it stings its working :)
I recommend using a tea tree soap bar twice a day. Then after apply Tea Tree Oil. It is natural and the oil is an antiseptic so it kills germs on your skin. It doesn’t dry out my face or clog pores. I have been using it for a few months and my skin is 100% different. Make sure you use it everyday. You will see results in a week. You can buy it at health stores and one brand I use is “Thursday Plantation”. It is about 15$. I highly recommend this practice. It really works and is good for your skin! :) Good luck
1) Cook oatmeal and apply on face for fifteen minutes and wash.

2) Make a warm bath with blanch of nettle and rosemary.

3) Apply equal amount of lemon juice and rose water with a cotton ball and wash it after haif an hour for 15 to 20 days.

Is there anything that you may be using thats breakin u out?

You may need to check out a dermatologist if you so.

Just try to keep ur skin moisturized and make sure to wash it at at least twice a day, overwahsing it can mess it up.

  • I have really bad acne and i have tried proactive but it wont work what should i do?

I TOOK MY DAUGHTER TO A SKIN SOECIALIST AND HE PRESCRIBED HER A PRESCRIPTION AND ITS GR8 TRY VISITING ONE~~~~GOODLUCKI have really bad acne and i have tried proactive but it wont work what should i do?
    Hey what's up

i have the same problem. I suggest if you go to your doctor he/she might prescribe you a benzoyl perozide 10% or if you are with kaiser go to the check out where you get you buy your medice and get the 10% acne wash it works really well. If you are young it's probably our stress and if you're over 18 it's because you're not getting enough moisture. But i suggest continue with the proactiv 2 times a day and use the refining mask or just buy the refining mask and use it 2-3 times a day it'll make the bigeest difference of ur life. Hey good luck bro.I have really bad acne and i have tried proactive but it wont work what should i do?
I am an independent consultant for Arbonne and we have a product called Clear Advantage and you can get the whole set for right around $50 and I have been told by several of my customers that they liked it better than Pro Active. There are 5 different products in our system including a supplement, and an eye cream.

    email me rlbrearey@yahoo.com
keep using proactive until you have the time of day to go to brooklyn and buy a new technique.
If over the counter medications are not working for you, you should probably visit a dermatologist. If you are a minor, talk to your parents about going to see one.

There are many kinds of treatments that a dermatologist can do, depending on the severity of the problem and what he or she thinks the underlying cause might be. Sometimes prescription antibiotics like Tetracycline are prescribed, other times other prescriptions medications such as Accutane and various other things may be used. In-office treatments such as UV or other light treatments or a light chemical peel may also be used. There are many more options availablel through a dermatologist than there are over the counter.
Increase your vitamin A intake slightly.
Of course it didn't work. 99% of those ';special TV offers'; are scams!

Just keep your skin really clean. Wash your face with soap and water at least twice a day, and clean your skin with an astrigent, such as witch hazel. If that doesn't work, see a dermatologist.
well i would say that you dont use proactive, that dont help um clean%26amp;clear it might be for girls but it really works b/c I use it and have no more acne
hey, i had that problem and i went to the dermatologist and they gave me doxycyclin...it has been a miracle for me! you take one pill a day and put on a light gell called differin...it is sooooo easy and i swear you can never tell i ever had a problem...i really reccomend it! good luck man! =)

Has anyone had a bad reaction from using Solugel Acne cream?

I over used it I think and now what started on my chin as a small rash has now spread all over my face. It isn't a red rash, just millions of bumps in my skin that sort of look just like acne, but clearly is a rash if you look closely.

I am going to a doctor on Tuesday but wasn't sure if there was a short term thing i can do to stop it spreading.Has anyone had a bad reaction from using Solugel Acne cream?
    STOP the usage.

What the skin needs is a treatment that clears pores and kills bacteria, thus preventing hair follicles from clogging and turning into acne. This is what you should be looking for if you want to get rid of those ugly acne.

Before trying any treatment, I suggest you read this informational source that listed the most effective acne treatments available:

P.S. I also know someone who used to suffer from severe acne for 14 YEARS and finally got rid of it completely. She's sharing her story at her site:

How bad does your acne get when you take roaccutane for the first month and does it get rid of red spots?

im about to use it soon

    wish me good luck lol

ty in advanceHow bad does your acne get when you take roaccutane for the first month and does it get rid of red spots?
Mine got no worse and quickly cleared in about a week.

Had problems with split lips so make sure you get have some moisturising cream handy.

I would definately recommend it though. How bad does your acne get when you take roaccutane for the first month and does it get rid of red spots?
alright i'm actually using roaccutane atm and it's amazing what it has done...

yeah it does bring your acne out in time to come (depending on how reguarly you take the medication) but it has to come out sooner or later right? lol...

but yeah i've been taking it since April/May and i my face was almost resembling freddy kruegers!! lol not really (just using a metaphor)

but yeah it's improved alot and i look back at my photos and can't blieve the difference... just remember in the end you'll be looking back too and you'll know that this treatment is awesome..

there's a few minuses tho... i get dry eyes and dry lips very easily.. and every so often so i have to use a chapstick lol and my eyes... well.. i could use eyedrops bit i don't like them :D lol

and so yeah that's my answer.. lol sorry if it was too long
My firend had it and it made his face fall off for about two weeks, poor guy looked liek he was melting with bubbly skin. He ended up taking a week off school it was so bad. But after that they nearly all cleard up and his just turned into normal teenacne, a few spots wheras before he had it really severly. ALso if yuor pregnant dont take it- it causes congenital defects.
I used roaccutane about 15 years ago and my zits was really really bad. They didnt get noticeably worse when i first took it believe it or not.

I cant remember how long it took to get rid of the acne but it sure did the job.

All i remember was having really dry skin and lips. Stock up on the chapsticks mate, you'll need em.

    Good luck.

Is face painting bad for acne?

I'm trying to get my face painted for a costume party, but I have a lot of acne on my face. So I was wondering if paint is bad for acne?Is face painting bad for acne?
As long as you make sure to clean your face thoroughly after using it, it shouldn't be a problem. Leaving any speck of it on can clog your pores and cause blemishes. As well, check the paint and insure that it specifies ';hypoallergenic'; as anything unsavory might aggravate your skin and cause it to further break out. Making sure it's water and not oil-based will be good too, as oil is harder to wash off and bad for acne-riddled skin. After the party, use an exfoliating scrub to clean the paint off and then use a toner or astringent to make sure it's all gone. Enjoy! Is face painting bad for acne?
Snazaroo is really good for sensitive skin, but I wouldn't expect problems with any major water-based cake makeup (Snazaroo, Ben Nye, Mehron, Kryolan, Wolfe Bros, Fardel, and others all make products that are acceptable, but not all of the products these companies make are water based cakes).

snazaroo.us will let you buy Snazaroo, I think it's the best bet you have

More remedies at http://www.wellnesstalk.org/acne.htmlI just purchased hoodiavex for my boyfriend. Do you think it will work. he has bad acne too?
    Hi,

Hoodiavex doesn't work. It's not pure...I've tried all different diets, and the weight loss is only temporary. I finally tried diet pills on the market are made from Hoodia. I saw this stuff on ABC News. It's all natural and safe, and it works! My wife took it for a month and dropped 20 pounds. I took it for a month and lost about 13 (but I didn't exercise).

I bought the natural hoodia from this website: http://www.alllsite.info/free-diet-pills鈥?/a> . I checked the web site address so I can post it here and I saw they're running a promotion now to get a free 2 week sample for only $4.97! I'm going to order this supply for my wife and give it to her for Christmas =)

The best stuff I have used is at beeroyalproducts.com. They have an acne line that is awesome. They use four different acne fighting ingredients compared to one that most companies use. You can get the whole line or get one product at a time and you don't have to join a club to get it.My acne got bad when i moved to virginia and i cant get rid of it, help?
read tips on treating acne, skincare and home remedies on this site
Have you been stressed out? Stress is a big factor in acne. Also the new climate with the high humidity could do it if you are sweating a lot. I would avoid things with lots of oil or grease... Burgers, fries, deep fried anything, fried chicken... Basically anything with fried in the name. Beyond that, just keep your face clean. Wash with a gentle soap or facial clenser morning and night. Don't use excessive lotion on your face and if you must use lotion, make sure it's a facial moisturizer that is non-comedogenic (won't cause blackheads). My wife loves the Burt's Bees products for skin care, particularly the tomato soap. Go to www.drugstore.com and search for burt's bees and tomato soap.

    I hope this helps!
Go to a dermatologist.......its the absolute BEST, sure fire way to cure your acne.

  • Is juice made from fruits bad for acne?

    Hey,

I recently read that consuming sugar will make you breakout, and that's happened to me recently. What I want to know is that my mom always makes me juice from carrots, apples, oranges, etc.. And she uses this machine where you put in the fruit and it turns into basically a fruit shake if you will.

I was wondering if this is bad for you or what... because I really want to stop if it is.

    Thanks,

SilentIs juice made from fruits bad for acne?
oh definitely not. the juice isn't what is causing your acne, and i don't think that sugar is either. i used to have cystic acne because my parents had it. there wasn't anything in my diet or in a bottle that could cure it. it was genetic. so i suggest that you keep on drinking that and wash (don't over wash) your face every day and it will go away eventually. Is juice made from fruits bad for acne?
Any drink high in sugar is bad for the skin. It clogs the pores
It's actualy good for your acne.It has vitamens and protien etc;.Buy an oatmeal bar soap that helps acne alot.Avoid using head cleansers.THey just make the skin oily and stuff.

I have very bad acne what can i do?

I am 20 years old female and have always had bad acne. I noticed that under my chin was hairy so I shaved it and broke out really bad is there anything i can use to help it? Why is it so bad for girls to shave there face?I have very bad acne what can i do?
Start by going to a dermatologist so they can assess you acne and provide a treatment for you. You probably just gave yourself bad razor burn under your chin. You should not shave your face because the hair grows back thicker and faster, if you do need to remove hair I suggest going to have it waxed by a professional to save the trouble of messing up on your own again. If you already have scaring from acne you should think about micodermabrasion or chemical peel. I found info on all this cosmetic surgery at this site.

Drink A LOT of water, use face wash, moisturizers, acne aids.I really have bad acne if i rate it 8 out of ten may be 9?
i've had problems with my skin as well and have tried some of the products you mentioned and they didn't work for me either. what i've been using the past few months though HAS been helping me... and as silly as it sounds, its the clearskin products from avon. you can get the 3 products needed for $10.00 - so it's cheap too! you use the cleanser, then these cleansing pads and then a moisturizer / mask. good luck!
If your acne is severe, especially nodular acne, you need to see a dermatologist about getting on Accutane. Nodular acne is the type where the pimples seem to be deep under your skin and never come to a head, they can also be very painful, and often scar. Accutane can help with other types of acne as well, it works by limiting the amount of sebaceous oil your glands produce. (Acne is merely plugged up sebaceous glands)

I had severe nodular acne, I was on Accutane 40mg for a 6month treatment, and my skin was perfectly clear for a whole year after. It has been 3 years since my last treatment and I am going to see a dermatologist about getting a second treatment (necessary with some cases) Accutane cleared my skin to just the occasional pimple for about 2 1/2 years. Now thats worthwhile

However, Accutane has gotten a bad rap for some of its rather severe side affects. It is a class X retinoid,.. you will have to have blood test every month to make sure it is not adversely affecting your liver.

Most people who go on Accutane, only get chapped lips. It is well worth it, if you have the means, then check it out. It was the single best move I ever made for my skin.

In the mean time, use any soap with salytic acid 2% in it, and then layer the acne affected areas with 10% benzol peroxide at night-(Walmart's brand works best.) Don't waste your time on the expensive nature's cure pills, I tried them three years ago, they did nothing.
A week ago I started using a mask and exfoliator and they went away!!! I am rejoicing because these pimples have been on my face for years. First I make a mixture of water and baking soda. It should be kind of like a cream (except it's not very soft). Put it on your face and leave it for about five minutes (or until it is dry). Then scrub it off with water. Then I used nuetragena acne pads on my face. Then I used a mask (leave on for about ten minutes). I used the Artistry mask, but any should work. Then I took another kind of maks (they're different colors, but have the same instructions, so I don't know what the difference is, so you could probably use one for both purposes). I put this second mask on the bigest pimples and left it on over night. I did this every day for a week and now my pimples are almost gone! You can probably even add your own steps in their or take steps away. Revise it to meet your skin's needs. This is what worked for me. Hope this helps. (It also help scars and scabs.)
I have used a product called acnotex , but I'm not sure if you need a prescription or not. Its a liquid that you dab on the skin and it clears up the acne.

    Good Luck!!!
http://www.melaleuca.com/ Try Melaleuca Oil. My son and I use it. The oil works great and they company has many products specifically for acne as well as skin. The soap is the only thing that has cleared up my dry itchy skin.
yeah proactive doesn't work. what you can do is try this zeno thing. i can't remember the website. but it must work well because it is 185.00 dollars. i want to try it. i will try to get the website to you if you want it.
    Ok listen here.

Go see a dermatologist ASAP. Trust me, you will not regret it. I went to see one back in late May, I had TERRIBLE acne, worst than you would ever see. I mean it was awful. And right now, all my acne has disappeared, and my scars are starting to fade away as well. It takes about a year for them to completely fade but it's getting there.

He will get you anti-biotics you use and you rarely ever get breakouts. Also, just get some Dial Soap for fragile skin and use it 2 times a day, once in the morning when you wake up and once before you go to bed. Avoid touching your face as well, if you have an itch then just resist the pain of it.

Trust me on this one, it will be the best decision you have made. All of the products out there are just ripping you off, and I found that out on personal experience.
You have to stop using clearasil. I have tried it and it worsen my skin condition. I have acne problems many years ago and it has reduced after I used ';Nardia'; product range which you can find in some beauty salon or you can buy some local Chinese magazine to check out their advertisement on the nearest branch near to your house. I have tried their oil control product mix with my own facial cleanser. It helps to control oil and reduced pimples but it cannot 100% cure my blackheads problem. It's a bit drying to my skin too.

After using Nardia, my skin is less sensitive and so I changed to low budget products such as Nutox, Clerasil, Cosway, Livisa but it still doesn't cure my blackheads.

Now, I am using ';Cellnique'; pro sebum gel which control white and black heads and it works tremendously. My skin is clearer and no more breakouts. Even if there is breakout, it is not visible cos it dry up very fast after applying the gel. I think the gel help to control our skin oil and cleanse deep inside our pores. I come across ';Cellnique'; thru some flyers which some beauty salon advertised. Then by accident, I saw the product in SASA. So one day, I went to SASA, Penang and ask about the product and it cost about RM139.00 per bottle. They have money back guarantee within 14 days, if you are not satisfied with the result. Therefore, no harm trying. If not good, just return the product and get back your money.

So, I would suggest you go to SASA or beauty salon that sell ';Cellnique'; brand range. Let the sales girl introduce you to their products. For me, Cellnique the best product I have ever tried since my early 20's. For your information, I'm in the 30's now. So you can imagine how many products I have tried and felt dissappointed of. No kidding. I will try Cellnique's other product range soon. Hope you try it too. You may log in to www.cellnique.com for more information. (P/S: Don't buy online cos the price is much higher)
    Hi Smart and Good

Here are some real answers on skin conditions. Remedies at the bottom. Cleansing the body of toxins is the key. Especially a colon cleanse! Educate yourself on detoxifying the blood.

    Judyth Reichenberg-Ullman N.D. - ';What is your skin trying to tell you? Often the skin is a metaphor for deeper issues and a way for your body to send up a red flag to warn you that all is not well underneath. When our skin is unhealthy it is usually a reflection of the internal state of our bodies, and is often a sign of poor elimination of toxins and waste products. Most of us are embarrassed by skin problems such as rashes, rosacea, boils or acne, especially in places where others can see our imperfections. The skin is the body's first line of defense against the environment. It has to deal with the effects of weather, sun , cold, heat, dryness, humidity, scrapes, bumps, soaps, detergents, chemicals, perspiration and dirt of all kinds. It is a wonder that our skin stays healthy most of the time! We can help our skin deal with this onslaught by optimizing our general health and by protecting our skin from harsh environmental exposure. Western medicine generally treats skin eruptions with either antibiotics, cortisone, or antifungal preparations. These medicines may alleviate the skin problem temporarily, or occasionally for good, but do not address the source of the problem. Putting a lid on skin symptoms without getting to the root of the imbalance may even result in suppression, that means the imbalance may be driven deeper causing more serious health problems later without ever strengthening the underlying vital force of the person. Fortunately, naturopathic medicine offers a wide vareity of effective treatments for skin problems.';

    Judyth Reichenberg-Ullman N.D. - ';Your skin is a reflection of how well your body is eliminating the toxins that build up on a daily basis. Chronic skin conditions such as acne, eczema and psoriasis stem from a combination of genetic factors, immune stress, dietary deficiencies or sensitivities, and the accumulation of toxins in the body. For our skin to be radiant and clear, it is very important that the other organs of elimination (kidneys, liver, lungs, and colon) are cleansing the body effectively. If not, the skin will be overtaxed, pores will become clogged, and eruptions of one sort or another will result. Here are a number of steps you can take to improve your body's overall elimination wtih specific emphasis on your skin.';

Detoxification is a normal body process of eliminating or neutralizing toxins through the colon, liver, kidneys, lungs, lymph and skin. Juice Fasting is the world's most ancient and natural healing mechanism. Fasting triggers a truly wondrous cleansing process that reaches right down to each and every cell and tissue in the body.

Learn more about Therapeutic Fasting and Detoxification - Colon Cleansing is the main step. Must remove the toxins from the colon, so the toxins dont get in the blood and cause illness and disease.

    Natural Cures

    1. Fruits and Vegetables for Acne: Carrot %26amp; spinach, celery %26amp; watercress, grapefruit juices are all useful to combat acne.

    2. Unwholesome Foods: Acne, a prevalent problem among teen-aged boys would not be possible in our society if our foods were wholesome. A most sad and disgusting sight is the pus-filled pimples due to inner toxicity --- wastes trying desperately to escape through the face. This condition often turns a gentle face in the blossom of youth into a waste dump of pimples, pus and subsequent pock marks which can be prevented. The tons of acne medications and prescriptions sold annually act only on the effect of the harmful food, and not the cause of the disease, malnutrition. The traditional teenage meal, a grease burger, french fries and a milk shake or cola simply does not provide enough nourishment for anyone, let alone a boy going through puberty to adulthood. Our highly processed foods are devoid of hormones found in fresh fruits, vegetables, grains, nuts and seeds. Must do a colon cleanse to rid of all the toxins in the body, which eventually get into the blood and cause acne and all other diseases.

    3. Cabbage: Apply a lotion of freshly prepared cabbage juice preceded, if desired, by the application of leaves. The eating of cabbage leaves or juice is also helpful.

    4. Lemon Juice: Skin problems such as acne... will often respond to a treatment of lemon juice. For blackheads rub lemon juice over them each night.

    5. Black Walnut: Externally, Black Walnut is nearly a miracle worker in cases of ...acne, dandruff, boils, itch, shingles, ringworm--we could go on, but you can see that you can use Black Walnut whenever a skin disorder appears! The tincture is an excellent first-aid remedy for wounds.

    Best of health to you
Not heard of it. Try this simple remedy. Wash your face twice a day in warm salty water. This should leave your face oil free without aggravating the acne like soap. The secret of keeping the skin clear is to keep it oil-free and clean. Check out http://useinfo-acne.blogspot.com/ for more useful info.

You should see a dermatologist who will treat the acne and tell you about various products to use. Your bangs contribute to the problem so consider changing hairstyles for a while. Basically acne is caused by an excess of sebum, the skin's natural oil, which becomes trapped in pores. If you don't want to see a derm, there are other options. Change your hairstyle, start washing your face at least 3 times a day with a good facial cleanser formulated for acne prone skin, use an astringent on your forehead and follow with an anti-acne lotion or gel. There are many different brands to choose from and those containing salicylic acid are very effective.I have a bad acne problem on my forehead?
Then i suggest you should see your dermatologist for special face wash to help it go away faster. Plus something that works with your face.
shiseido. cleansing foam.. .this works soooooo good. proactive didnt even work for me at all and this is waaay differnt.
Maybe the reason you forehead is so bad is because of you long hair. The oil on your hair is touching your forehead and that is causing you to break out so much on your forehead.I'm not saying to cut your hair its your choice. But i think that is why you have bad acne on your forehead.
go see your dermatalogist and/or buy proactiv... apparently it really works

Acne on lips So I am having this issue, I have bad acne on my lips, preticularly on my vagina lips.?

Is this normal , does anyone else out here have this. I have a fettish popping the pimples that surround my juicy lips. It is causing scars and I am thinking about having sex soon. Do you think my boyrfiend will get grossed out by the bumby acne on my vagina. I am scared.Acne on lips So I am having this issue, I have bad acne on my lips, preticularly on my vagina lips.?
good questionAcne on lips So I am having this issue, I have bad acne on my lips, preticularly on my vagina lips.?
Ummm, that's a ...unique... fetish lol.

You're going to have to stop popping them though. One, that can't be sanitary and two, that's kind of unclean looking.

If you're not properly cleansing down there, that could be a result of the acne. You need to make sure you're making it a point to keep clean in that area. Believe me, no one and i repeat, no one, will find sex with you very pleasurable if you can't even keep yourself cleansed.

If you do wash down there regularly, but the acne isn't going away, either go to a dermatologist or your OB/GYN (not sure which one would handle this sort of thing) and ask them for recommendations/topical cream/etc.

And to answer your question, yes, I have a feeling your boyfriend will be quite grossed out by the sight of acne down there.

Forget the fetish: if you intend on having sex EVER, get to work on a cleansing regimen!
Yeah, most likely. I know I would mostly because he can never be sure that It's just acne. He could think it could be herpes or any of that stuff. Either have it be pitch black when you have sex so he cant see, or just stop the habit of popping them. It makes more acne come up and scars. Just try not looking down there for pimples. Keep your eyes up when u happen to be naked haha.

Are Rive Krispy Treats bad for acne?

They taste really good and have a lot of vitamins. Are they bad for acne because they're sweet? They have like 20% of the DV of some vitamins. Are Rive Krispy Treats bad for acne?
Acne is more associated with greasy or fatty foods. Although you should watch your sugars for other reasons, acne is often not one of them. As for the vitamins, 20% isn't a whole lot but it is better than nothingAre Rive Krispy Treats bad for acne?

You can spend a fortune on all these products they have to sell but anyone I have ever known has used plain old rubbing alcohol. After you use this buy a natural moisturizing cream to keep it moist naturally.
I have found that anything with a system is key. Like first wash your face and because that throws off the ph in your skin you have to put it back in with a moisturizer. But nothing with oil. I went to a Arbonne party and a consultant was there saying this. It could be that he needs to heal from the inside out. So buying one that has pills in it sounds like what he needs to do. Unfortunately it's not real cheap, but I think you can have a refund. You might want to check that out. My sister has just bought me a set of stuff from Marykay because we both have bad acne and she said it has taken her acne completely away which is hard to believe with how bad it was, but I will see. Don't know what it's called. The Arbonne acne link is below.
I think as long as you love him and like his personality and also don't care about what other people think about you stay with him.have you tried proactive?i know it is used for face and everything but it might work out.
Accutane....it's supposedly the mother of all treatments. You have to get your blood checked every month and there are a lot of side effects including some that affect your liver.

I am 35 yrs old and I've been having really bad acne, I don't remember having acne this bad when I was a teen

ager, is there something out there I can use that will actually help, right now preferabbly (spelling) cheap I have a daughter in highschool who is graduating soon and boy has this Sr year been very expensive, so something that will not make break me more than what I am now. What causes this? Any suggestions that will help? please and much thanks!I am 35 yrs old and I've been having really bad acne, I don't remember having acne this bad when I was a teen
Proactive didn't work for me, which was super disapointing. Im 22 years old, with moderate acne (but I've had it since I was 16). Everyone will have some kind of different advice since different things work for everyone. But some of the basic acne prevention habits are sometimes the easiest to ignore.....so make sure you are

    a) Changing sheets and pillow cases often (every night for pillow cases)

    b) Not overwashing your skin. Keep things gentle.

    c) Not picking at your face or force popping pimples.

    d) Using fresh make up applicators (buying new foam wedges or washing your cosmetic rounds often with an antibacterial soap and letting them dry).

    e) Drinking lots of water and taking vitamins regularly.

    f) Keeping your hands off your face.

    Good luck!

p.s - since you are sort of new to this (or its been a while), make sure you avoid all of the quickie remedies that some people will give you. Toothpaste for example actually clogs and irritates skin when you leave it on overnight. If you havn't tried Proactive then maybe you should. It has helped a lot of people, as well as dissapointed many. But its worth trying, and money might be tight, but a good skin care system is worth the price, even if you have to cut back in other areas.

I pray you the best of luck! Acne is a horrible thing, and we all empathize.I am 35 yrs old and I've been having really bad acne, I don't remember having acne this bad when I was a teen

Causes can be diet, stress and lack of water to flush out toxins from your body.

A great facial cleanser is powdered milk! Mix a little with some water to form a paste. Gently massage, then rinse with BARELY warm water. This is cheap and effective in clearing debris from your face while not stripping away your natural oils like commercial products.

Below is a link I found for natural skin care! I really like using natural ingredients for my skin.
I am 31 and I've been having really bad acne lately as well. I too don't remember having it much (if at all) as a teen. The thing that works for me is Dove facial cleansing cloths. They always have coupons for them in the Sunday paper and you can cut them in half to save even more money. I cut them in half because there is plenty of soap in them to use only half the sheet at a time. Use them for a couple of weeks and you should have nice, clear skin again!
You should probably see a dermatologist, your insurance may cover it fairly well. Otherwise, try natural remedies, like this honey mask. Honey is really good for acne, because it moisturizes without making skin oily.

    2 tbs raw unprocessed honey

    1 tsp cosmetic clay

    2 drops lavender essential oil
try the clearasil vanishing creme it is a rectangular little box and you just apply it on the acne and in time it will start vanishing it will start working as soon as you apply it, it is not expensive!
Seriously buy proactiv and stick to it
It's ADULT acne, perhaps caused by stress...

I know someone who used to suffer from SEVERE acne for 14 YEARS and she finally got rid of it completely. She's actually sharing her success story at her site:

How to clear up bad acne in 2 weeks. and clear up scars?

I have an acne cure that has won me the best answer three times. Each time, the person said it worked great. I'll copy and paste it below.

Use a hot compress on it, and then use cool water to close the pores. Do the process over and over again, about five or six times. Use soap to wash the area, and then treat it with an alcohol soaked cotton ball. It should be gone within five to six hours. How to clear up bad acne in 2 weeks. and clear up scars?
Glad I could help. Use the treatment about two more times, and it should be gone. Report Abuse
How to clear up bad acne in 2 weeks. and clear up scars?
If you acne is really bad you will probably want to go to the doctors for antibiotics to help clear it up as acne is caused by the staph bacteria. As for the scars.............those will have to be taken care of by a dermatologist.
For scars i'd recommend bio-oil =) Fantastic stuff!

    http://www.bio-oil.info/en/home

Found out about this through a cutter i know, she says it's probably the best stuff she's come across really. Not exactly cheap, but worth it. I'm sure Boots sell it :)
to clear up scars you could try microdermabrasion but it could be pricey and might look only a little better. just cover those up with makeup, i'd say.

for acne the best way to improve it is to see a dermatologist and get perscreiptions.

but you said 2 weeks so i'd just get some face wash with 10% benzoyl peroxide in it, unless your skin gets dried out, then get a lower %. and use Clearasil ointment at night and in the morning.

i've tried Proactiv in the past and it did NOTHING. only made my acne worse.
Try washing your face daily with a wash that has benzoyl peroxide or go to your doctor and ask if you can be referred to a dermatologist who is an expert at these things. They can also help with scars.
proactive works great! my mom and my brother love it

the scar issue i can't help you with tho im sorry
dont buy products for acne as it wud not do nefing but clean ur face!!!! DR are good dey give u antibiotics and a lotion for it.

i thought acne leaves dents aswell as scars :S
well when i had acne i did not care but it begane to go out of control so i washed my face %26amp; cut of on junk food like chocolate lots of wax in chocolate.i use clean %26amp; clear under control works great but it burned lots when i used it.as for the scar's see a dermatologist for that......i hope this helps.
You can't in two weeks. As for scars, they're pretty much permanent.
Try herbal medicine they are excellent for aches pains and acne and such ailments.

Is tinted moisturizer good or bad for skin with acne?

i've never used foundation before because its too heavy and oily for my skin. and i was wondering if tinted moisturizer will cover up my flaws while still not causing me to break out. which moisturizers are best if so.

i have semi dark skin. not light but not dark. in the middle sort of.Is tinted moisturizer good or bad for skin with acne?
It depends on what kind of tinted moisturizer you use. Cosmedicine makes a great tinted moisturizer for darker skin. Many foundations have oil-absorbing qualities which will reduce breakouts and shine. Rx for Brown Skin is a great product as well.

The other big thing to worry about is what you're using to wash your face. If you're not washing your face (or, alternately, if you're over-washing your face), it doesn't matter what you put on your face, it will still be oily and acne-prone.Is tinted moisturizer good or bad for skin with acne?

The tricky part about acne is that the problem can

actually become worse if you overmedicate. That's

because acne medication can overdry the skin, causing

a boost in your skin's Sebum (oil) production. This

results in...you guessed it - more acne.

So what's the long term solution? Find gentler

solutions or even natural acne cures that won't

shock your body into more breakouts.

    Here's what I recommend...

    Glycerin based facewash:

Glycerin is gentler and will balance the

    pH levels in your skin.

    Antibacterial Soap:

For body acne, try using an antibacterial soap

to slowly dry out the skin. If your skin gets too dry,

switch to a moisterizing soap like Dove to

    counterbalance the effect.

    Don't Overwash:

Wash your face only 2 times a day max and gently

    pat dry with a towel.

    Moisterize:

Use a gentle face moisterizer if the glycerin based

face wash drys you out too much. I like using

    Aveeno moisterizers personally.

    Change Your Diet:

Eat almonds, fiber, drink lots of water and avoid

excess sugar intake. Food really does make a difference.

This is because the food you put into your body has a

direct effect on your Sebum (oil) production. By eating

the right foods, you'll minimize oily skin, thereby

    preventing breakouts.

    Egg Whites:

If acne medication isn't working or causing new breakouts,

try applying egg whites to the pimples at night before bed.

This natural remedy works by gently drying out the clogged

pores and clearing up the pimple.

    Oatmeal Masks:

One of my favorite natural skin conditioners is wearing an

';oatmeal mask';. The oatmeal with smooth your skin while

simultaneously absorb toxins and oils from your pores.

Try this for a few days straight. Wear the oatmeal mask

for 10 minutes, then wash off. You'll have a nice

    glowing complexion right after.

    Lemon Juice:

Lemon juice also dries up pimples and kills any bacteria

in the infection. The citric acid also balances your skin's

pH levels to prevent future breakouts.

    Honey:

Yes, despite your initial beliefs, honey is FANTASTIC for

skin care. Actually, you may notice on many moisterizers

that honey is an ingredient. Much like the lemon solution

above, honey balances the skins pH levels. Test out this

sticky remedy by dabbing pimples with honey and leaving it

on for 5-10 minutes. You can apply full honey masks to your

face but I prefer the oatmeal masks instead.

    They're less messy.

  • My doctor changed my Pill to Dianette over four weeks ago as I have adult acne and bad PMS.?

However, this month my PMS was worse than ever and the acne isn't shifting! How long does it usually take for the pill to 'kick in'?My doctor changed my Pill to Dianette over four weeks ago as I have adult acne and bad PMS.?
I am a bit anxious about the use of Dianette in general. It has been known for several years that it has a much higher incidence of DVT ( clots ), than other pills.

A female not on the pill has about 14/100,000/year risk.

With most pills it rises to 25/100,000/year.

With pregnancy AND on Dianette 50/100,000/year.

There has thus been a shift away from Dianette to Yasmin. Some women who have had success on Dianette wish to continue it, this is acceptable, but ONLY if the increased risk has been explained to them, and their agreement noted in their medical record. Hopefully the risks were fully explained to you before a prescription was issued? My doctor changed my Pill to Dianette over four weeks ago as I have adult acne and bad PMS.?
I have tried Dianette twice over the years and it had no beneficial effect for me.

PCOS (and all the niceties that come with it)
I've been on dianette for years and it really agrees with me. I can't comment on your PMS being worse because luckily I don't suffer with it however I did have acne and it took about six months to sort it out and now I don't have any. For me it wasn't an overnight cure but do sick with it. You should go back to your doctor to discuss your PMT. You never know maybe the tension is coming from being depressed about the acne. Also resist the temptation to over wash your face with products because you'll produce more oil. I tried all the lotions and potions out there but now use clinique soap with warm water then pat dry followed by some light moisturiser.

    All the best.x.
I'd give it another month. So you've gone through 2 full cycles.
I would say give it 3 months to start seeing results. It will take a while to get going in your system.

    good luck.
I was on Dianette for several years for the same reason. The effects for me were almost immediate. Go back to your GP if it's not suiting you xxx

How do you get rid of bad acne is proactive good or anything you know of or have used?

thanksHow do you get rid of bad acne? is proactive any good?
Proactiv works wonders for some people and for others it can make their skin worse.

One of the most effect ways to treat acne is to prevent acne. There are several vitamins that prevent acne. They don't cost very much money either, and you can buy them at Walmart. How do you get rid of bad acne? is proactive any good?
Maybe you should try easing up on the cleansers.

Like any other body system, your skin oils will become heavier and thicker the more it gets used, or in this case, need to be replaced.

Sometimes cleaning too much (overcleaning) can cause your skin to produce more oil, as your body can't figure out why it's all being stripped away.

Also, lay off the sodas and colas. I pretty much stopped a while back, and it's done wonders for me.

Try drinking some more water, too. It will take some of that pore-clogging crap out of your system when you pee (which should be clear).

Oh, and go easy on the deep-fried and breaded foods, too.

It takes a concerted effort and a few weeks, but if you actually do all these instead of just saying you will, you can actually get much clearer skin.

    No over-priced crap needed!
I used Proactiv for many years and I found that it did help prevent any new breakouts. Unfortunately, I have acne scarring from years past and it didn't clear up the scars, but I definitely think it helps if you have active acne on your face. You should definitely try it. From what I understand, it helps to bring out acne and then it clears it up. So if you do try it, stick with it for at least 2 months so that you give it a chance to work. Good luck!!
Anthony, I had this problem too.I could finally find a solution for it which works like a charm, read this blog about it:

    http://iremovedacneeasily.wordpress.com/

Thanks to this blog, it helped me a lot to find the best method.

BTW proactiv is scam i used it

    Hope this helps
I went to a skin clinic and they recommended Dermatogica (Not Sure on Spelling) and that seemed to work for me. anyway, hope something works for u.

    P.S

Proactive didn't work for me but everyone has there own opinion on it

I have really bad acne, and really poor weight (I'm too skinny). Could my lack of a high bmi affect my skin?

well your overall health does affect your skin so if you are unhealthy and that is the reason for your low weight. You are also only 16 and hormones are running a bit wild around that age as well so your skin could be reflecting that. Another cause is stress.

What you need to do is maintain a healthy diet, (eating right, drinking plenty of water etc..) and try and reduce stress in your life if you can. There are tons of resources for home remedies as well and like the rest of your body you need to take care of your skin too. If your acne doesnt go away or at least get better with treatment then you may need to see a dermatologist and get something a little stronger. Whatever you do dont pick or scratch because they can leave unsightly scars. Make sure you moisturize your skin before putting on any kind of makeup as well because some can be very drying. I know you may worry about moisturizing with your acne but replacing moisture and replacing oil are quite different. Try an oil free moisturizer if it worries you.

I cannot help with your weight as I am only a skin therapist but if you are worried about it and no matter what you do you cannot get to a healthy weight you might want to take a visit to your doctor.

Good Luck, I hope this helps.

I've been with my boyfriend for over a month now. I have recently had a really bad acne breakout all over my

I suppose it just depends on the guy. To put it bluntly, if he's that concerned with what you look like on the outside, he's not worth your self-esteem plummeting. I've had acne since I was in middle school (I'm a sophomore in college now) and I've been through times where my skin was great and then back to broken out again. My newest boyfriend met me in one of the broken out times and we're doing extremely well. (Going on 4 months now.) He tells me how beautiful I am all the time and he says he could care less if I have acne. Find yourself a good guy like that, or just don't bother with guys at all. That would be easier. :) Get to a dermatologist when you can, or try Proactiv maybe. There's a lot of over the counter stuff you can try as well. I use a soap bar called Pan-Oxyl-10% Benzoyl Peroxide and it's working for me. It's really strong and can dry you out so only use it once a day the first couple of weeks. I know this is so overstated, but the people who really love you don't give a care how you look. I personally use Tea Tree Oil because it is well-known for its drawing properties, meaning it draws the infection (the pimple) out. I also use it on my acne regularly because it reduces the redness within hours of putting it on, and it works amazingly on my pimples to keep them away. It's very safe and doesn't hurt at all.. It is 100% natural with no ';fake'; additives in it or anything like that... Best of all it is cheap and easy to find, such as at Walgreens (if you have one around), or at stores that sell health-foods and natural medicines. It is a very common home remedy and is very handy in medicine cabinets or First Aid Kits because it is a ';cure-all'; meaning it is not just for one thing in particular, it can help with many things.

I use it, and I love it. ProActiv didn't work for me, and nothing else really has either.. but this stuff has pretty much done the trick.

School starts pretty soon, and I have bad acne. I've been using ProActiv, but it doesn't work. I've also tried toothpaste and lemon.

Does anyone know what can help acne? What can I do for bad acne?
There is no quick fix for acne. Your doctor may recommend some prescription medication. Keep your face very clean. Drink plenty of water. Eat a nutritious diet and get enough sleep. Try to reduce the stress in your life. Probably the most useful and effective things you can do are to apply hot compresses to pustules and cysts and never to pick or squeeze pimples. Playing with or popping pimples, no matter how careful and clean you are, nearly always makes bumps stay redder and bumpier longer. Here are a few informative links with additional home treatment ideas.

wash you face every morning and night and use an OIL FREE moisturizer. withing a few week to a few months, depending on how bad your acne is, you will start seeing improvement with your acne..

just whatever you do, make sure all facial products you use are oil free.

use Acne Free it works great you can buy a kit with a lotion toner and face wash it doesn't dry out your skin...its actually kinda of like the improved proactive only you can't get it at any drug store you don't have to order it gets geart reviews so it probably works for many skin types

    read about it here

Proactive may be too strong for your face...try using something more gentle like Neutrogena Glycerine bar for acne prone skin and follow with neutrogena stress acne toner/astringent... then if that doesnt do the trick, use Tea Tree Oil and dab it on the zits. The doc told me to use this bc Tea Tree Oil kills the staph and bacteria on your skin which causes the acne!

    Good Luck
omq i hate ProActiv that crap just made my face worser lol i didn't see improvement at all!! lol but i use neutrogena it has helped my face alot more !!

so this is what i do and you should try!!

at night//morning i apply a thin layer of alchol on my entire face [excluding eyesz of course] lol and then i apply neutrogena (a thick layer) on my acne!! if itsz at night you keep it on and wash your face in the morning but let it sit there for a hour in the morning !!

    {ii hope i helped hun} :)

    鈾?ladii_bad
yes! i have the answer /

    Cetaphil .

it's a facial cleanser %26amp; it actually works really good ,

it cleans your face thoroughly %26amp; gets dirt out of your pores etc.

Also to clear your acne really good go to a dermatologist %26amp; get prescribed some medication for your acne. Everyone has different acne like cysts, %26amp; stuff. Dermatologists will prescribe the right stuff for your skin type. So yeah. I don't know if this is going to help you but I have hope because it works for me!
I have this Neutrogena Rapid Clear Treatment Pads and they work fast and great! You use them like once or 3 times a day. It is fast you can do it while in school, well in the bathroom of course! Just make sure that your face doesn't have visible dirt on it just wet it a bit and then use the pad. It works great like in a week it worked.
I would suggest going to a dermatologist.

they will prescribe you either a facial creme

or some kind of pill, which worked for me.

and will also evaluate your skin

and tell you what kind of products would work good on your dace.

i like the st. ives apricot scrub

    -good luck!
try murad from sephora. the starter kit is only $35. your skin will look better in a few days(3 or 4).
    hmm try clean and clear

    and clearasil might work too

  • I have bad acne, but we can't afford those expensive products or a dermatologist!?

My acne isn't cystic acne, it's mostly red and inflammed. But it does sometimes cause pain. I really need tips to help me get rid of all this! I ask my mother if she can take me to a dermatologist but she just says ';No, it's just a phase, you'll grow out of it, and besides, we can't afford it!'; We also cannot afford products like proactive or murad. My skin is pretty sensative also. Please help! All your help is greatly appreciated!I have bad acne, but we can't afford those expensive products or a dermatologist!?
I have very sensitive acne-prone skin. Take this from someone who has tried EVERYTHING (proactive, acne free, clean and clear kits), the best grocery store product I have used is Neutrogena's Oil-Free Acne Stress wash and scrub. It really gets deep down in the pores to heal your skin and keep the oil out and has green tea to soothe and reduce any redness.

Use the scrub 1-2 times a week in the shower when the heat opens up your pores and the wash 2 times every day. I use Clean %26amp; Clear's Dual Action Moisturizer after and then a spot treatment prescription called Retin-A from, but I hear Clean and Clear makes a good spot treatment too. I blot any oil off my face throughout the day with Clean %26amp; Clear's Oil Absorbing Sheets. Those can be kind of expensive but you can even blot with tissues if you find your face getting really oily. I think all of these products are between $3 and $7.

No matter what you use, wash your hands before ever touching your face even if you are putting a product on it, and lay off the coverup makeup as much as possible (I only use a tinted moisturizer and powder for my face)...these are little things but will really help you in getting cleared up.

Taking care of your skin professionally CAN be extremely expensive but maybe try explaining to your mom why you think it could be a worthwhile investment. I have friends in their mid-20s who are still suffering from Acne...a pretty long annoying ';phase'; if you ask me. Why not invest a little money now and just get it taken care of? In the long run it will probably save you money from trying everything at the grocery store.

I'm a poor college student but I have kick-butt insurance so the dermatologist isn't all the expensive. In fact, I get a chemical peel twice a month that is completely covered by my insurance because it's written up as surgery. Celebrities love these to keep their skin healthy and flawless and can cost up to $150 a treatment but mine is free. I swear by it and it may be worth looking into.

Also maybe consider going on Accutane. It too can be expensive but using it for just a couple months can get rid of your acne for life. My acne has never been severe enough for my Dr. to prescribe it (even though I've begged and pleaded), but three of my siblings used it in high school and it was nothing short of miraculous for them.

Good luck! Remember that the majority of people have struggled with acne and it freaking sucks but there's a lot of ways to fight it.I have bad acne, but we can't afford those expensive products or a dermatologist!?
    1. Search the internet for home remedies. There are so many you'll def. find something that'll help you out. (like toothpaste, masks, etc.)

    2. I think Clinique is a great brand for the skin. Their products can be pretty expensive though. But I use their face/body soap which is $12 and their Emergency Acne Solutions which is $13. Even if you don't want to use Clinique. I suggest you buy a soap meant to treat acne. (available at drugstores) %26amp; then a specific intense spot treatment to directly put on the pimples. (At least, if you don't wish to buy a kit)

    3. There are also many drugstore acne kits that work well. I would suggest Neutrogena's Acne Solutions. Its maybe 20 dollars? If your mom won't buy it for you, I suggest you make some money for it. It's not incredibly hard to earn $20 dollars. I think Proactive is around the same amount as well.

    --- Hope I Helped!!
i use the cheapest sensitive baby wipes, i was unfortunate enought to get spots in my late thirties, so i started to remove my make up after lunch time then after moisturizing i would reapply my make up, when i got home from work at 6pm i would remove my make up and on alternate nights use masks... first night was a vitE mask then a clay/mud mask on the second night. I would rest on the third just applyin lots of moisturizer after about two week i saw a difference in the texture of my skin.

    Good Luck x
first things first, never get proactive!!

once you do the full treatment, you have to use it for the rest of your life

my friend has really bad acne too, and she uses clean and clear. her acne is like yours and it is almost gone. Its really cheap and you can buy it at any drug store. rite aid, cvs, walmart, etc
My older sister had the exact same problem as you. She tried ProActive and it didn't work for her! Instead she started using this product that they sell at WalMart. It's called Acne Free and costs around $23 for the set. It works great and my sisters results have been amazing. I too use it and my skin is completely clear. Try it and i hope it works for you too!
try clean and clear foaming facial cleanser. It strips your face of bacteria, so acne doesn't get worse, but it wont get rid of the pimples. Also try oxy, i know people who use it, and they like it.
same here just try simple little things like putting toothpaste or shaving cream on ur zits before u go to bed or try putting lemon juice on your faceat nite then after u apply the lemonjuice put on babypowder just simple things like that

    best of luck-medina
clean and clear is the best.

    i used the persa gel.

    its a small bottle.

    but its powerful.

    its kinda like a mask.

but you just put it on the areas that need it the most.
proactive really isn't expensive at all!

The whole system is only $20. That's actually cheap!

You also will get many special offers with it.

    So, I'd get proactive.
try honey it works or salt

drink some herbs or but wash your face with them it works

or drink homemade juice like from apples or carrots :D
sell your computer and use that money to buy face stuff
Proactiv and Murad don't work anyway they shred your skin with their ';gentle exfoliaters'; and thus cause more breakouts, that's why you can get it directly sent to your house every month, it's a scam. I never had insurance when my acne was at its worst and I survived on over the counter creams and face washes. You have to find something that is both moisturizing and effective in cleaning the dirt and excess oil off your face at the same time. AND you have to give a product at least 3 months to see if it will work for you...I learned that after I got married and could afford a skin doctor. Even after going to a dermatologist she suggested that I use Noxzema deep pore cleanser (which is medicated with Triclosan, an anti-bacterial ingredient. comes in a tube with an orange cap) I wash with that 2 times a day and then apply a light moisturizer ( I liked Neutrogena oil free moisturizer with spf 15) then I would spot treat each pimple with a benzoyl peroxide cream of no more than 5%. Some stores sell it at 10% strength, but it is extremely drying and thus in turn causes breakouts. Make SURE you are using a moisturizer with a sunblock everyday, I swear it helps. You can also use a toner or astrigent if your skin is extra oily, I use Burt's Bees garden tomato toner or simple witch hazel astringent. All of these products are less than 7 bucks and you can purchase them at Target, Wal-Mart etc. I know it is frustrating and it can make you feel embaressed and singled out, but after I turned 20 It started clearing up by itself little by little. I am 23 now and I see a dermatologist once a year to keep up the progress and to get screened for skin cancer. hang in there.
There's two things you need to deal with acne: clear pores and moisturized skin

You can sort the pores out with an exfoliating scrub, here's what I use and it works better than any store-bought stuff: http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php鈥?/a>

To moisturize you don't need anything fancy, I use vitamin E oil. Go out and get yourself a cheap, store brand moisturizer and a bottle of vitamin E oil (health food stores will help you out with that) and mix a teaspoon or two of the oi into the moisturizer. I find it easier to put them both in a jar to mix it up, it's ridiculously hard to get it into bottles

    So here's my little routine:

In the morning exfoliate with bicarb soda mixture and them moisturize with the vit E/moisturizer solution

At night exfoliate again and put a little of the pure vit E oil on problem areas

My skin's clear enough that I don't even bother with foundation :)

ps. olive oil and salt make a fantastic shower scrub
I can tell you you, you're going to laugh when you read this. But it's honestly the best acne product ever. Desitin Creamy Baby Diaper Rash Lotion. (Okay laugh it up). I've been using it for about 2 months now. And my skin has never looked better. I've been struggling with acne since 4th grade %26amp; I'm now a junior in high school. My acne is finally clearing up since I've been using this stuff. I actually used this stuff as a joke for my mom. She said it would be funny if that was my miracle acne clearer, and what do you know, it was. Now I also have a habit of picking zits. So if I wake up with a pretty big zit because I forgot to take off my make-up or ate something that makes me breakout, I pop it. Desitin has really helped clear up any scarring from picking. Most scarring clears up within a week or two. Now the Desitin will instantly take out some redness from the acne over night. So if you get the red zits like me, you'll love this. I've been using this stuff for about a month or two now, and my face hasn't been clearer in years. Desitin keeps your face dry, but still moisturized. However, I do have to use Neutrogena Shine Control Blotting Sheets if I'm out in public so I won't have a shiny face. But to use this correctly, use it basically as a spot treatment. Put it on at night on each spot and rub it in. If you're face feels a little oily or greasy from it, just take a towel and blot your face so it's dry. When you wake up in the morning, same thing. So morning %26amp; night, and voila! This seriously was my miracle stuff so hopefully it can help you.

ps: some extra tips to reduce acne breakouts. Some foods, especially carbs can cause breakouts. So maybe try eating less of those. Drinking lots of water keeps you hydrated and keeps your skin cleaner. And don't forget to take off any make-up before you sleep. Clean your pillowcases at least once every week or every other week. Lots of dead skin and dirt on your pillow. And if you have bangs, try pinning them back at night so that any oil on your hair won't rub on your face. Hope this helps!
i had acne but not mega bad but anyways there are some virgin vie products that i used in my early teen they wernt even specially 4 acne but i went to one of those parties for virgin v and showed the lady my skin and she said to use these and they just seemed to clear up. was great.cant remember how long it took but put it this way i only brught 1 lot so must have worked using that.

What you eat has no affect on your hormone levels and how much sebum your skin produces.

Poll: Do you have bad acne?

    No, I do not.

What do you use when you have bad acne?

i had acne like forever. and what ever face wash i use it never goes away. does anyone know a realy good face wash that can help? What do you use when you have bad acne?
Some people get it more than others...cut all the sodas and eat freah foods not processed foods...some face cleansers actually make it worse...and some dry out your skin too much. try talking with a dermatologist....What do you use when you have bad acne?
If you have bad acne you need to see the doc and consider antibiotic therapy to get the staph bacteria under control.
    Give Proactiv a shot.

Listen. Water is !VERY! important. (Drinking it that is) . I barely had any water at all the past few weeks water and my skin is a bona fide mess. When I was drinking at LEAST 32 ounces of water a day and using Proactiv, I was doing fairly well.
I too have suffered with acne and finally came to the conclusion that the answer to the acne is not found in ';products';. Acne is a problem that comes from within and in order to solve it, you must treat the origination of the problem. You must detoxify your body and balance your hormones. If you are female, use Natural Progesterone Oil (I use Progestelle brand) for the hormone issue. Additionally, do a 3 day apple-only diet and colon cleansing to remove toxins from the body. Do this monthly and your skin will glow. It worked for me and beleive me, nothing else has and I've tried it all, Proactive (useless and STINKS) Arbonne, Clearasil, the list goes on and so does the money I spent. This is the answer. Search it out for yourself on the internet.
    Proactive is excellent!!!!!!!!!!
I can't say this enough, PROACTIV, PROACTIV, PROACTIV. The stuff really works!!!
there is a vitamin complex and cream combo that solves the problem effectively. email me for details, have your settings allow me to reply.
proactiv skin solutions. its kinda expensive but when u buy a set it can last for 1 mnth. its available in watsons
i use cleanic then glycolic pads then differen gel and they go right away
Honestly, when one products works for someone it may not work for you. Everyone has different skin types and sometimes the soaps that a person uses may not be suitable for your skin. I highly suggest you go to the book store or library, there's this great book called ';skin type solutions'; by Dr. Lesile Baumann, it tells you everything you need to know about your skin type and exactly what to use. If thats too much of a hassle, i find that Dermalogica Anti-Bac Wash, or Mario Badescu Acne Facial Cleanser works really well. They both have ingredients (salicylic and Triclosan) to kill bacteria from you skin and take off dead skin cells and there both in a gel form so its not drying and very soothing to irritated skin. You might also want to consider exfoliating twice a week, because sometimes your dead skin cells bind to your skin, when there not sloughed off, and cause bacteria to grow and form white heads.
you should tackle this based on your skin, is it oily, dry..... but either way I would also have to say proactive is the way to go if you can't see a dermatologist.
I HAVE BEEN USEING PROACTIV FOR A LONG TIME AND IT WORKS GREAT YOU CAN SEE THE DIFFERENCE OVER NIGHT
a good face wash would be saint ives apricote scrub

or what else works is just a plain face cloth with nothing on it and rub quite hard on ur whole face then pat dry and toner and moisterize
I don't no any good face wash but i don't get acne alot. If you don't want to get acne you can do what i do which is to wash your face everyday twice. In the morning and at night is the best. You can wash your face in warm water and then wipe it with a towel. Also you should cut out on french fries, sodas, pizza, poutine, chips anything that is fried causes acne. I'm not saying that you shouldn't eat it just not all the time. Eat fresh fruits instead of junk food because that can help you. Oh and don't touch your face when your hands are dirty or if you have your hair in your face you should put it up so that it doesn't touch your face cuz your hair can sumtimes be oily and when it's in your face it puts the oil in your face tht cause the acne. Oh and one more thing if you like spicy things or hot things you should cut out on tht too because spicy things cause acne. Anyways i hope tht helps cuz it does for me=)
    Murad k it really works

How do i get rid of acne(bad red spots).?

i would like as many ways as possible !!

    THANKS(:

oh and i will best answer the most appropriate answer that works!!

xHow do i get rid of acne(bad red spots).?
I have them on my forehead, I absolutely hate them! Well I had a good routine:

    *Toner

    *Cleaning pads for acne

    *Moisturizer

I went to Paris for a couple of days and I forgot all about my routine which kept my skin clean. I got big red spots on my forehead. So the best thing is to stick to a routine and use products. DON'T touch you're pimples and spots, I know from experience that they get worse and they leave scars if you touch them!

    Stay beautiful:)

Are facials at all bad for people with acne?

I've never had a facial before and would like to try it. I have a lot of acne though and don't want to irritate it or cause scars. Is it harmless? Are facials at all bad for people with acne?
if anything it will be benifical to your skin my dear. Facials are geared towards whatever skin type you have so if its problematic they will do one for problematic skin..You will prob. notice yourself having better skin if you get one once a month. They are lovely as well. : )Are facials at all bad for people with acne?
My friend at school gets facials, and chemical peels. Shes pretty, but her face looks like a pizza :O. But I've never gotten one so you should try it out because it effects people with different skin types :)
No you can do it with acne
A facial will not irritate acne or cause scars. Just enjoy yourself and have fun with your bf!

  • Bad acne, is this normal for a teen?

I'm 17 and have been getting acne ever since i was around 13. It has been getting worse over the last couple of years and it's now on my face, chest back, stomach and even my thighs it can be really embarassing. I shower and wear clean clothes as much as possible. Is there something wrong?Bad acne, is this normal for a teen?
Well, it's normal to have acne, but not that bad of acne.

Have you ever tried using some kind of acne control system? Something like Proactiv or Neutrogena Skin iD? I've used Proactiv, and it really worked for me.. But the Skin iD sounds really cool and personalized. You take a quiz about your acne online, then it determines what three products you need. Google it for more info. One bad thing about the systems are that they take committment; you have to use them daily for good results.

If you don't think that would work, or you want something with less mess, then I would recommend checking out a dermatologist, because your acne does sound a bit abnormal. They can prescribe medicine that is strong enough to make it go away.. My best friend used it, and after years of having bad acne, it all went away.. It was amazing.

But really, only you and/or your dermatologist can determine what's right for you... Oh, and also, I've learned that acne can be brought on by stress. I'm in the same boat as you, 16, but really stressed with AP classes and college searching and stuff, and the stress has made me break out more often. Try to reduce your stress, and drink water. Water helps flush the toxins out of your body that cause acne.Bad acne, is this normal for a teen?
I successfully used proactive for awhile, but in my case, my skin got accustomed to it. So I stopped wasting money on it. Instead of using that, or any of those other acne treatments like it, I began using St.Ives facial scrub. It's been working fine partially because the proactive had cleared my horrible skin pretty well beforehand.

This has come on recently. What can I do????I have a bad acne breakout on my shoulders, back, chest, and neck. Do you know any home remedies or cures?
Take a hot shower and then put a dab of toothpaste on the spots overnight. It halps a little.I have a bad acne breakout on my shoulders, back, chest, and neck. Do you know any home remedies or cures?
you use things like face wash or you could try one of neutrogena's body washes for breakouts
neutrogena makes one specific cleanser with salycilic acid and polyetheline beads. use that in conjunction with a really good bath brush and NOT a bath sponge or puff. its the only method that has help me with my problem areas. good luck :)
When washing your back use a loofah, sponge or exfoliant to help remove any dead skin cells that may clog up pores. Use a gentle action and don鈥檛 be too harsh otherwise you will end up breaking the skin. Check out http://useinfo-acne.blogspot.com/ for more useful info.

I have bad acne. had it since i was 16, and i am turning 21 in august. i tryed everything, accutane, proactive?

...and none of it has worked. lately i been using alot of natural tree oil things and yes it has made my skin look better, but it isnt stopping or helping the breakouts. anyone else who has had/have this problem, any suggestions/tips/help?I have bad acne. had it since i was 16, and i am turning 21 in august. i tryed everything, accutane, proactive?
Hey, I'm 21 too and had the same exact experience as you, except the acne started at age 11 for me.

    Here's what finally helped me:

Avoid milk, cheese, anything that comes from a cow and is pasturized. --- Except plain yogurt and kefir. Those are VERY good for you and your skin.

    Avoid excessive amounts of sugar.

Take acidophilus and drink 1 tablespoon of apple cider vinegar before each meal (diluted in a cup of water). This is to help kill bad bacteria, cleanse the blood, and put in beneficial bacteria.

Apply apple cider vinegar as a toner twice a day after washing with tea tree soap.

Good luck! I know it's frustrating.I have bad acne. had it since i was 16, and i am turning 21 in august. i tryed everything, accutane, proactive?
    Hi Johnny

    Acne and Pimples

Here are a few tips that I found on the net that may help.

    1. Try to wear makeup that is not oily pr oil based as this can cause a bad problem with acne flare up. I may mention this more than once but remember to stop squeezing your pimples as this will cause scarring and is totally unnecessary.

    2. Another really effective way to stop pimples is to place an ice pack on the infected area every twenty minutes or so and hold it down for a prolonged period of time once an hour until you see a change.

    3. If you are absolutely desperate and have no other choice because nothing else is working then I suggest using a concealor as this will provide a temporary fix to the problem area.

    4. An old fashioned method of stopping pimples is to simply place a little tooth paste on the area and watch it dry right up. This will also help you at night so as to place a dab of your favorite tooth paste on the infected area and in the morning it should be greatly reduced if not gone all together.

    5. Do not squeeze or pick at a pimple, as this will only cause it to get worse. Try good old fashioned, natural soap on a regular basis in addition to the things that have already been mentioned.

The following suggestion on how to stop squeezing your pimples and treat your acne infected area are a start in good overall facial hygiene and care.

Here's a really great article on this website how one Guy cleared his face up in 3 days. -- http://bit.ly/12J0Qe
Urgh, I feel your pain! Im 24 and have bad acne too! Wasn't this supposed to stop already?? Anyways, I used everything, I mean EVERYTHING! It would work for a week or 2, but then my face would come back with a vengeance. Some one told me about being on low dose antibiotics. So I went to the doc...5 days ago and she put me on 100mg doxycycline. Haven't seen anything yet, and I have to take it at night. If I take it in the morning I throw it up, so its kinda rough, But when I googled ';doxycycline acne'; I didn't read of one person it didn't help! So hopefully in a month i will be acne free! So maybe you should try it too! And its cheap! You can get a month supply at walmart for $4 and i have a 3 month prescription. Anyways, whatever you do, good luck! I totally know how you feel!
You should definitely try the low-dose antibiotic as suggested by the previous answer. See your doctor about a prescription and as the others have said, keep to a good healthy diet although research shows that acne is not caused by chocolate or fries! I know this is horrible but most people do grow out of it in their twenties. Good luck and keep trying, there are lots of treatments out there now.
I've had bad acne for a while, recently I've started washing my face with Honey (mix about a teaspoon with a little warm water and scrub your face) and it's been working wonders, after I've done that I use a foaming facial wash, toner and good moisturiser that doesn't block pores. I've started drinking a LOT of water as well.
Have you tried eating more fruits and vegetables ?

    Stop eating processed 'foods'.

Do an elimination diet and stop eating foods that you are allergic and intolerant of.

    Drink more water.

Do not wash your face with Hot water. Use luke warm instead.

Stop getting constipated and holding onto bowel motions while at work. Go when you need to.
My brother had the same problem...he had tried pretty much everything even some home remedies...but one of my family members got him this and it has worked so far..at least a lot longer than everything else did...hope you figure something out
Mate, if you've tried Roac and that didn't work. Then nothing will! Roac is LAST resort when no medication or natural methods have worked!

    Use concealer!!

    Sorry!
I suggest you go to a Dermatologist :)

I have bad indented acne scars, will retin a work?

my derm told me to get retin a for my indented scars before i go get laser surgery.

anyone have good experiences with this cream?I have bad indented acne scars, will retin a work?
Yes! I had horrible cystic acne as a teen which left a few craters behind. I used Retin A daily for a few years, and they slowly disappeared.

Incidentally I still got the occasional breakout until age 32. Pregnancy finally cured me once and for all.

I have bad pin point acne scars on my face, is there a makeup that will help smooth this out?

I finally got rid of my acne but now I can see my scars more than ever and they are making me almost as unhappy. Is there anything I can do? I know of laser treatments but does anyone have first hand knowledge of there being a noticeable difference? I use maballine mineral foundation right now and I use clinique pore minimizer and that helps a bit but it adds to the cakey-ness of the face. I'm desperately seeking smooth skin so any advice would be great.I have bad pin point acne scars on my face, is there a makeup that will help smooth this out?
It isn't make up but I've found Mederma for Kids creme works really well to help fade acne scars.I have bad pin point acne scars on my face, is there a makeup that will help smooth this out?
Nichelle, decide on a product line and use it - mixing won't give you optimum results. I use the products by aularale.com/7002 (fade gel) for removal of my scars (old and new), as well as the skin care (for your skin type). Until the process is complete, use the cover stick along w/cream to powder foundation for covering. Also, drink more water, take a good vitamin/mineral supplement, and eat more fruit/veggies.
bare minerals honey, its the best you'll find, a bit pricey but well worth it. You won't be able to see any blemishes. People tell me my complextion looks like a procelin doll!!

I have bad acne how do i get rid of it?

The ONLY thing that worked for me was the Medicated Acne Package from Bee Royal. It has more and different medicated acne products than any other. It also has a lot of natural acne fighters too. Nothing I mean NOTHING has worked like it. Oh and it lasts like 8 months. Google Bee Royal Acne Package. It aint cheap but like I said it really works.I have bad acne how do i get rid of it?

go back to your doctor and say the cream hasn't worked

and that you've tried everything else

they'll probably suggest either a stronger version of the cream you have or an entirely different spot cream

    good luck xxox
I just bough Murad from Sephora. I bought the clenser, and the acne sport tratment and IT WORKS! In two days my skin has gotten soooo much better. I love it !
